A Fowler woman was arrested Wednesday here on charges of attempted second degree murder from an incident that took place at a convenience store on Thanksgiving Day.
Pamela L. Black, 38, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 4, by Fowler police on a warrant for attempted second degree murder, attempted first degree assault, menacing, third degree assault and harassment. She is being held on $50,000 bond at Otero County Jail.
According to Fowler Police, officer Shannon Saunders investigated a report that Black confronted a male and female outside the Tank 'n Tummy store in Fowler on Nov. 24 and Black allegedly assaulted the female in front of the store. The male intervened and broke up the altercation, according to the report. The female victim left the area walking westbound. According to the victim, Black got into her vehicle and attempted to run her over at the corner of Sixth and Cranston. Black exited her vehicle and the two began to fight, according to the report. The female victim again left the area and began to walk west on Cranston.
The victim stated Black again got into her vehicle and attempted to run her over on the corner of Main and Cranston. Black then exited the vehicle and the two engaged in a physical altercation before Black got into her vehicle and left the area, according to the report.
