Mark your calendars and put on your dancing shoes! June 22, 2012 is the date for the Tri-County Housing & Community Development Corporation Annual Banquet and Silent Auction at the Gobin Building in Rocky Ford.

This year will be an extra treat, with entertainment by Lance Valliant and a Dance Contest to show off the Valley’s dance stars. The Dance Contest will be open to teams, couples, or individuals, with cash prizes for 3 age groups.

The Dance Contest will be broken into three age groups: 11 to 19, 20-49, and 50 and over. Pre-registration is recommended to ensure we have your song selection, but you can also register at the door. After all contestants within an age group have danced, the audience will choose the best performance by applause, and cash prizes will be given.

After all of the contestants have competed, the dance floor will be open to all who attend, so come out and kick your heels up, whether you’re competing or not. Tickets are $20 for dinner and dance, or $10 for dance only.

Tickets and donations are tax deductible and corporate sponsored tables are available. Call 719-263-5168 for ticket or donation information.

The toe tapping will get started at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and music by Lance Valliant. Barbecue dinner will be served at 6:30. Catering courtesy of Colorado Boys Ranch, promising to be some fantastic barbecue. The dance floor will heat up at 7:30, along with the auction.

There will also be a Silent Auction throughout the evening with many great items up for grabs. The auction will be a random rolling pull so be sure to get your bids in early. All proceeds build and support the “Heart Fund”. The Heart Fund was established to assist individuals in instances of need which do not fall within Tri-County Housing & CDC’s normal scope of service.

The Heart Fund has been used for emergency groceries, lodging, medical needs, and many other services for families in extreme need and during times of crisis. This year, there are many fantastic items up for auction, including certificates for local beef, hand crafted wood dressers, gift baskets, landscaping items, spa and pampering certificates, restaurant certificates, tattoo certificates and more coming in everyday!

To donate items for the Heart Fund silent auction, please contact Tri-County Housing at 719-263-5168 by June 20.

June 22, don’t miss an evening of fun, food, and the Valley’s best dancers! For tickets, dance contest registration, or auction donations please call 719-263-5168.
