  • By the recommendation of Interim Town Administrator Dan Hyatt, council members unanimously approved the promotion of town employee George Stelter to assistant foreman/cemetery sexton.

"I am extremely proud of George and the job he has done for the town. He has done a great job stepping in and fulfilling the duties of town foreman. I think he deserves recognition for the job he has done and continues to do," Hyatt said.

Along with the promotion comes a pay increase. Stelter will now receive $11.25 per hour and when he receives his CDL, he will receive another 50 cent per hour increase.

"George has worked hard and there is no doubt in my mind that he will have this certification very soon," said Hyatt.

Council also approved the hiring of Richard Spaccamonti as the public works/maintenance foreman. Spaccamonti has agreed to accept the position at a wage of $12.50 per hour. It was not mentioned when he will begin his duties.

Fowler resident and business owner Paul Whipple has offered to donate his labor to install a water line with eight hydrants at the Fowler Cemetery.

Whipple will immediately make ready a line where people can get water to care for family graves.

Near future plans are to install the water line with hydrants and build a shelter for the pump housing.

There is a cemetery donation fund for anyone who would like to contribute. The monies are specifically designated for cemetery improvements such as water lines and planting grass.

Anyone who would like to volunteer at the cemetery is encouraged to contact town hall and coordinate with Cemetery Sexton George Stelter as to what projects need to be done.

In other business the following Ordinances and Resolutions were passed.
