  • But the young team has shown that being young doesn't make or break a team.
Tuesday (Oct. 16) night's match up between the visiting Hoehne Farmers and the Fowler Grizzlies showed determination from the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies won in three with scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-13.
Juniors Moriah Shields and Lindsey Moss led the team in scoring with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Lexie Bitter, Jessica Benesch and Jacki Sallee were strong at the net with each recording many blocks.
Nikki Waggoner, Moriah Shields and Lindsey Moss also stepped up the defense with 11 blocks each. Lexie Bitter had 10.
The Grizzlies will travel to Las Animas on Thursday night which will be the last game of their regular season.
Tuesday night's win secured a spot for the Grizzlies in district preliminaries which will be played Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Fowler at 6 p.m.
