Hoofin' it 4 Hospice Rodeo April 7
The first annual Hoofin' it 4 Hospice Rodeo will be held on Sunday, April 7, at the Walk-A-Mile Equestrian Center, 1280 Wheeler Lane in Avondale, Colo.
The event will kick off with a 10 a.m. Cowboy Church service and the 4 Bar S Gathering.
There are many events slated for the day. A pig roast BBQ lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $5 per person. A live auction will be held from noon until 1 p.m. Team Roping will begin at 2 p.m. For information on Team Roping contact Eric Hanson at (719) 248-8501.
Events for kids will also be part of the day. Live music will be performed by Gary Lear.
All proceeds earned will go toward the purchase of the new office located at 124 W. Cranston Ave. in Fowler.
Sponsors are still needed, currently there are nine sponsors; First National Bank-Fowler, Arianna Armstrong, Walk-A-Mile Equestrian Center, Dana Reese Equipment Repair, Goosey Goss Chase Ranch, Scott's Horseshoeing Service, Running M Ranch, Jim and Roxie Keen and Wild West Cowboy Church at Westcliffe.
The sponsorship levels are as follows: Platinum $1000, Gold $500, Silver $250 and Bronze $100. Any amount will graciously be accepted. Two free pig roast tickets will be given to those who sponsor $100 or more. As a nonprofit hospice, your donation is tax-deductible.
Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care East was opened in the fall of 2012, since that time they have cared for nearly 50 patients. Hospice Care is not strictly for terminal patients, they assist with daily chores for people who might be in need of temporary assistance.
You can support them by donating items that can go toward the live auction. Those items can be delivered to the office located at 124 W. Cranston.
Bring your own chair, come on out to the first annual Hoofin' it 4 Hospice Rodeo and show your support for a worthy cause.
