Grizzlies season to begin tonight

Coach Sandy Moss is starting her eighth season as head volleyball coach for the Fowler Grizzlies, and each season her expectations remain the same, "Be the best that we can be and pursue a gold ball," said Moss. "For junior varsity, we want to improve and be the best in the league. We want to be the team that people look up to and want to be a part of ... a well-oiled machine," Moss went on to say. Preparing for the season means countless hours in the off-season working on skills and fundamentals. A new addition to the Fowler coaching staff is Morgan Moss who was hired as the assistant volleyball coach and is also the daughter of head coach Sandy Moss. "Coach Morgan Moss has implemented a college level conditioning program and the girls have paid the price to be successful. Her youth and fire have added a whole new element to the program. These girls dedicate so much of their personal time to make the program great. I appreciate them so much. It's typical Fowler Grizzly Volleyball mentality and tradition. Championships are won in the off-season," said Coach Sandy Moss. This year we have 15 players, there are nine returning, four seniors, one junior and four sophomores. Their first match-up for the season will have them traveling to Trinidad. Game time begins at 4 p.m. "I am excited to get started, I'm hoping we have put more time in than the Trinidad Miners. I love playing teams out of our league and it's a great way to start the season," said Moss
