A special Christmas concert and community sing-along will be held at the Fowler Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at 3 p.m. It will feature three special numbers by a community choir of Fowler area singers and also a sing along of old time Christmas carols. Soloist David Jackson will sing “O Holy Night.” Anyone who likes to sing is invited to be in the community choir, which will be led by Cindy Snodgrass. There will be only one practice, at 2 p.m. on Dec. 15, one hour prior to the concert. Refreshments of homemade cookies and pastries will be served in the fellowship hall in the church basement following the concert/sing-along. There will also be a display of table-top nativity scenes for all to enjoy. Anyone who has a nativity scene (or scenes) they would be willing to share for the day is asked to bring them to the Methodist Church basement between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Dec. 14 and then take them home after the fellowship time following the concert. The event is free, and everyone is invited to come and get into the Christmas spirit.
