Conservation easement meeting
A meeting of landowners with conservation easements will be held at Swink High School, Thursday (today), Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Dan Byfield, Canyon, Texas with American Land Foundation and Fred Grant, from Idaho, an attorney with Stewards of the Range will be present for the meeting.
Fowler Museum Annual Dinner
The annual dinner meeting is being held Oct. 6 at the Blackburn-Dennis Community Building. Tickets are $9 each and on sale by members or call the museum Wednesday through Saturday at 263-4046. Museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
District Annual Meeting
The public is invited to the Olney-Boone Conservation District Annual Meeting, Thursday, Oct. 9 beginning at 10 a.m. at the home of Lewis Filmore north of Boone. Lunch will be provided.
Meet the candidates
The community is invited to meet Democrat and Republican candidates, Thursday, Oct. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the La Junta Senior Center, 114 E. Second Street. Sponsored by the NARFE La Junta Area Chapter 1054, this is an opportunity to meet local, state and national candidates before the November election.
