It has been 20 years since the incorporation of the Fowler Historical Society. Knowing that Fowler's history was being lost as the first generation of settlers passed away, a group of individuals took it upon themselves to preserve the past for future generations of "Fowlerites."
From a derelict building at 114 Main Street, the Fowler Historical Society and Museum has developed into an organization boasting a physical building rich with archives and displays. To compliment the museum, a web presence has been added making it possible to research a portion of Fowler's history with more sources being added on a regular basis.
On October 6th, the Fowler Historical Society and Museum will be holding its annual dinner and meeting at the Blackburn-Dennis Community Center at 6 p.m. Tickets are $9 per person and may be purchased from museum volunteers or the museum which is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum's phone number 263-4046.
The program for the evening will be "Notable Accomplishments of Fowlerites."
