Red Hat Gals will meet today, Thursday, Dec. 4 at Blackburn-Dennis Community Center for their Christmas party at 2 p.m. Please remember to bring food for the food bank.
Santa to visit Fowler this Saturday
Santa Claus is making an early trip to Fowler on Saturday, Dec. 6. The jolly old elf will be visiting with area children at 3 p.m. at the Fowler Theater and everyone in the community is invited to attend. During Santa's visit, the Fowler Chamber of Commerce raffle drawing will take place. Up for grabs is a television, a gas card and groceries from Jack's Market. Raffle tickets may be purchased from participating Fowler merchants.
Local dancers in Pueblo recital
Young dancers from the Fowler area will be performing this weekend, Dec. 6 and 7 at the Sarah Shaw Dance Studio recital. Held at Memorial Hall in Pueblo, show times are 12:30, 3 and 5:30 p.m. both days and admission is free. Local performers include Brooke Grissom, Emily Fox, Maggie Goodwin, Gabri and Val Leone, Neylan, Laiken and Liam Griffy, Josh Provenza and Shanae Major.
Monthly book club selection announced
First Baptist Church of Fowler hosts a book club each month open to anyone in the community who enjoys reading and discussing what they have read. This month, Grace at Bender Springs by Vinita Hampton Wright, has been selected. If you are interested in participating, please contact Clint Walker at 263-4935 to purchase a copy of the book for $5, and plan on attending the discussion group at the First Baptist Church parsonage, 105 W. Eugene on Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m . Snacks will be provided.
Annual Christmas Tea
The annual Christmas Tea hosted by West Assembly of God will be held Friday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and reservations must be made by Dec. 5. Please call Kris at 263-5772. Including a full English tea and complimentary photographs, this is a wonderful holiday tradition to begin with special friends and family members.
