FBLA Spaghetti Supper
Fowler High School Future Business Leaders of America would like to invite everyone to their annual Spaghetti Supper on Thursday, Dec. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. The supper will be held in conjunction with the Fowler Invitational Basketball Tournament. The meal will be served in the high school lunchroom. Prices for tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students K-6, pre-school and under are free. You can purchase tickets from any FBLA member or at the door. The money earned will go toward expenses for FBLA District Leadership Conference and State Leadership Conference. Come out and enjoy a great meal and support your Fowler Grizzlies.
Library celebrates holidays
The Fowler Public Library will be celebrating Christmas with a two-day, Holiday Open House. The public is invited to enjoy refreshments at the library on Friday, Dec. 19, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 22 from noon to 7 p.m.
Going away party for Srgt. Ourso
Blake Ourso, son of Roland Ourso and Shelley Bonjour of Fowler and Brad and Julie Jones of Lamar will be deploying Jan. 7, 2008, to Camp Casey in South Korea with the 1-43 Air Defense Artillery. His friends and family are invited to a going away party at Scratch's Pub Saturday night, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.
Ourso joined the army March 29, 1999. His tours include 1-4 Air Defense Artillery in Wackenheim, Germany, 4ID at Ft. Carson and Denver Recruiting Battalion with duty in Colorado Springs, Pueblo and La Junta. His other deployments were KFOR, Kosvo and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The Fowler Historical Society Museum has a 4-H exhibit that is fabulous and an art display of Margaret Jones' beautiful paintings on gourds, china, pictures and carvings. There are also many other interesting displays. The museum volunteers encourage people to come in and they enjoy having lots of visitors.
