Loni Condor (Lelani Heagy), former member of Fowler High School class of 1958, returned to Fowler on Missouri Day as a featured artist in the annual art show. Condor's art reflects her love of the Southwest, often depicting various aspects of Native American life. Some of her pieces are in permanent collections at banks in Falcon and Calhan, and KTSC-TV in Pueblo. Condor's favorite teacher was Serena Chappell who taught art classes to Fowler students for many years.

The class of '58 is still going strong after 50 years. Thirty-seven classmates from 11 states and Mexico gathered Missouri Day eve to celebrate their 50th reunion. Only 4 classmates did not come. A prime rib supper was catered by the Tamarack Grill at the Senior Center. Karen Fedde May led the program sharing memories from each class of the 12 years at Fowler. Ten classmates in attendance started together in the first grade. After the program, Jake Norton led an auction of donated items from classmates to benefit the Fowler Historical Museum. Over $2200 was raised from the auction and donations. Two classmates, Steve Metzner and Loni Heagy Condor, were featured artists at the Missouri Day Art Show. All the attendees were given a 38 page memory book with pictures and history.

After riding in the parade Saturday morning, the class hosted the first All Fowler School Reunion at the high school gym. Over 275 former Fowler school students and teachers gathered to renew acquaintances. Comments were made from so many people that it should be an annual event each Missouri Day. Saturday evening the class gathered again for supper at the Senior Center and then extended their visiting at the James Jensen residence.

The class of '58 would like to thank everyone for coming to the class reunion and open house. Thanks also to everyone who donated cookies for the open house and those who helped with tea and lemonade. The extra cookies went to the nursing home, community church service and the senior center.

The class would also like to thank the Fowler Senior Center for the use of the Center, Carolyn Daurio and team from the Tamarack Grill for excellent meals and Dr. Larry Vibber and staff of Fowler School District for coordinating the use of the Fowler High School and gym.

Chris Larsen reminded everyone that the class of '58 was the first to win an athletic state championship for Fowler High School when the football team beat Palisade in the state playoffs on Thanksgiving Day 1957.
