Fowler School District was a buzz last week as they celebrated homecoming week. Emily Aragon and Dean Reed were crowned Homecoming Queen and King, and Mr. Tim Baublits and Ms. Angela Crone were named Mr. and Ms. FHS.

Activities started Monday for high school students and staff. Staff and students participated in dress-up days and noon competitions. This year staff joined in not only with sponsoring events but dressed up for dress-up days and challenged their students in noon activities (and even came out ahead in musical chairs and unicorn ball). Thursday the entire district and community came together to cheer on their Grizzlies volleyball team as they took on rivals Swink Lions. The Grizzlies came out with fantastic momentum that the Lions could not stop, earning them a homecoming win.

The fun continued as Royalty was announced and crowned and Mr. and Mrs. FHS were named. Seniors from all sporting teams gave speeches and the freshmen football players sang the fight song (an annual requirement of each freshman football class). The gym continued to buzz as staff and classes challenged each other to a talent battle. Freshmen to senior and all in between brought the community a fantastic show of talent, creativity and spunk. The senior class came out on top at the end of the night.

Congratulations to Mr. John Ayers and the FHS Student Council on a fantastic pep rally that ended with Fowler FFA burning the F. Homecoming activities continued as classes built floats and elementary students decorated their bikes for the parade on Friday.

Vibber Field was flooded with spectators for the Grizzlies football Friday Night Lights against the Wiley Panthers. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies suffered a tough loss against the Wiley Panthers.
