Lewis Bolt and Nut is celebrating 25 years in La Junta with an open house from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday at its building in La Junta’s Industrial Park.

Lewis Bolt and Nut is celebrating 25 years in La Junta with an open house from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday at its building in La Junta’s Industrial Park.

The open house will feature tours. People attending can see the newly expanded manufacturing facilities and learn about the company.

When Lewis Bolt first came to La Junta, owner Mark Paper projected the company would create up to 30 new jobs in the area. They currently employ more than 200 people.

“Since moving its operation to La Junta, Lewis Bolt and Nut has each year increased its number of employees beyond projections and has most years added on new facilities to enhance the scale of their capacity,” said La Junta Mayor Lynn Horner. “They have been a shining star within the framework of our local businesses. Mark Paper and his administration have been exemplary in working in partnership with the city. Thanks much for your great efforts in improving the vitality of our community.”

Lewis Bolt is located at 30105 6th Ave. in the Industrial Park.
