Opal Margaret Holman, 82, passed away Feb. 2, 2017, from a lenghty illness. She was born on Jan. 1, 1935, to Louis LaDuke and Lula Lee (Hall) LaDuke, the 15th of 19 children. She married Winnie Joe Holman and from this union a family of five was formed; Joe, Opal and children, Winnie, Vickie and Tammy. Opal was a stay at home wife and mother most of her married life. She was very talented and enjoyed sewing, jewelry making, stained glass working, ceramics, knitting, crocheting and could make something by looking at the picture. She had a quick mind and always had a witty comeback or something funny to say.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson JP True.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Jay) Smith of Fowler, Vickie (Louie) True of Eckley, Colorado and Winnie (Mary) Holman of Fort Collins; her grandchildren, Kevan (Merlinda) Smith of Pueblo West, Jason (Heather) Smith of Fowler, Lori True (Tom) Ide of Citrus Heights, California, Traci Holman (Ben) Sullivan of Hawaii, Mike (Kim) Holman of Fort Collins; great-grandchildren, Anthony (AJ) and Sydnee Smith of Pueblo West, Megan Hollenbeck, Aidan and Jeter Smith of Fowler, Emily, Luke and Nat Sullivan of Hawaii and Ely, Jackson and Maggie Holman of Fort Collins; two sisters; two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Opal joined her husband on what would have been their 58th wedding anniversary.
