This month at the library the AARP tax preparation program started. It’s being held on Mondays from now through April 14, 2017. You do not need to be an AARP member to have your taxes done for free. It’s for people with low or middle incomes. Please call (719) 649-9401 to schedule your appointment today! The first week they were filled up, and there have been plenty of people who have called the library inquiring about the program.
Next week on Thursday, March 2, we will have our after school program. This month’s topics will be on nutrition and the human body. We hope many of the elementary aged kids will be able to join us from 3:45 to 5 p.m. that day to read, play games, get involved in experiments, and make something. Who knows, there may even be some snacks thrown in for kids who participate.
Also this month, the library has acquired new books from authors Danielle Steel, Johnathan Kellerman, and J.D. Robb. We also got the new book from Victoria Aveyard for the young adult crowd. Finally, we are pleased to announce we got new chairs for our computer stations. We hope everybody who comes in to use the computers enjoys them.
