The Fowler High School girls' basketball team finished in second place at the Class 2A District 6 Basketball Tournament on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at Otero Junior College. The Grizzlies completed the tournament with a victory over Hoehne, 46-36, and a loss to Swink in the District Championship Game, 35-27.

The Fowler High School girls' basketball team finished in second place at the Class 2A District 6 Basketball Tournament on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at Otero Junior College. The Grizzlies completed the tournament with a victory over Hoehne, 46-36, and a loss to Swink in the District Championship Game, 35-27.

During the Tournament the Grizzlies were led by Elizabeth Hagerman with 33 points, 20 rebounds, and 3 assists, Teyah Schiffer with 6 points,4 rebounds, and 3 assists, Lexi Van Sickle with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, Jacquelin Alvey with 14 rebounds and 6 steals, Jacy Rogers with 4 points, and Isabella Proctor with 6 points and 3 rebounds.

The Grizzlies advanced to the Class 2A Regional Tournament Pod C and will compete on Friday, March 3 against Ellicott at Doherty High School, at 4 p.m. If the Grizzlies win, they will play on Saturday, March 4 against Simla at Doherty High School at 11 a.m.

The Fowler High School boys' basketball team became District Champions at the Class 2A District 6 Basketball Tournament. The Grizzlies completed the tournament with a victory over Hoehne, 50-33, on Friday, Feb. 24. On Saturday, Feb. 25 the Grizzlies came out with purpose and defeated Crowley County, 45-35.

During the Tournament the Grizzlies were led by Alexander Proctor with 24 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and 6 steals, Jakob Juul with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists, Quinton Flanscha with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 6 steals, Brand Sharp with 14 points, 2 assists and 2 steals, and Dean Reed with10 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Grizzlies advanced to the Class 2A Regional Tournament Pod E and will compete on Friday, March 3 against Dayspring Christian at Vista Peak High School, at 7 p.m. If the Grizzlies win, they will play on Saturday, March 4 against Alexander Dawson School at Vista Peak High School at 2:30 p.m.

To advance to the Class 2A State Tournament, the Grizzlies must win both of their match-ups. The Class 2A State Tournament will be held on March 9, 10, and 11 in Loveland.
