The Grizzlies continued to work over their spring break as they competed at The Lamar Invitational last weekend. The girls finished the track meet with a total of 25 team points. The boys gathered a total of 23 team points.
The Grizzlies top finishers include the girls 4X800 relay with a fifth place, the girls medley relay with a fifth place, Teyah Schiffer with a sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles, Lexi Van Sickle with a seventh place in the 400-meter dash, girls 4X100 relay with a seventh place, Emily Aragon with an eighth place in the 1,600 and a third in the 3,200, Kassidy Lotrich with a sixth place in discus, Ty Hershey with a seventh place in the 110-meter hurdles, seventh place in the 1,600, and a fourth place in the 800, Orin Carnes with a seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles, and Garrett Gribble with a first place in shot put and a seventh place in discus.
The Grizzlies will compete twice this week, on Friday, March 31, at the La Junta Open beginning at 12 p.m. and on Saturday, April 1, at Pueblo County beginning at 9 a.m.
