Otero County Republicans will host their 2017 Lincoln Day Dinner, celebrating and honoring President Abraham Lincoln, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at the Otero Junior College Student Center located at 2001 San Juan Ave in La Junta, CO. This year’s keynote speaker will be Cynthia H. Coffman, Colorado Attorney General.

Cynthia Coffman serves as the State’s 38th Attorney General. Since being elected in November of 2014, AG Coffman has focused on consumer protection, public safety and protecting Colorado’s elderly. In 2016, Roll Call named AG Coffman one of the 25 Most Influential Women in State Politics. Coffman plans to speak about the work of the Attorney General's Office over the past two years and her observations of changes under the Trump Administration.

There will also be a guest presentation by Convention of States Colorado. Convention of States is a non-partisan grass roots organization urging state legislatures to properly use Article V of the United States Constitution to call a convention in order to reduce the power of the federal government. A social hour will be held starting at 5 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and speak with state and local elected officials. Following dinner we will host a fundraising auction.
