Sept. 15, 1931 - March 28, 2017

Delbert L. Gorsline of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at N.C.M.C.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1931, in Fowler, Colorado to Karl and Laura Mae Gorsline.

Following high school he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. In 1958 Del graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and married Charlotte Green in Fowler, Colorado.

Delbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a proud grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren. No matter what activity his grandkids were in, they knew “PAPA” would be there supporting them. He was an avid fan of the Colorado Buffaloes and the Denver Broncos, having season tickets since 1967. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served as an elder, usher, youth leader and mentor. He was a member of Gideons International, Kiwanis, Elks and the Greeley and Eaton Country Clubs. His hobbies included golf, skiing, racquetball, hunting, motorcycling, camping, motor home traveling and international trips.

He was the office manager/accountant for Weld County Garage prior to starting Gorsline Accounting Services Inc. in 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Gorsline; a son, David Gorsline and Winnie of Greeley; two daughters, Nancy Holst and Mitchell of Gillette, Wyoming and Tami McLean and Sean of Greeley; 12 grandchildren, Taylor, Jacey, Dalton, Nathan, Kaitlin, Carly, Colton, Courtney, Rachael, Patrick, William and Rebecca.

A memorial service to celebrate Delbert’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2307 17th Avenue in Greeley.
