Due to extreme weather conditions during last weekend the Fowler Grizzly track was canceled, baseball was rescheduled and girls' golf was shortened.

Due to extreme weather conditions during last weekend the Fowler Grizzly track was canceled, baseball was rescheduled and girls' golf was shortened.

Fowler track ran into weather last Friday and Saturday that led to the cancellations of the La Junta Open and the Pueblo County Invitational. The Pueblo County Invitational will not be rescheduled and any reschedule for the La Junta Open or schedule add-ons are still to be determined. The Grizzlies will compete next weekend Friday, April 7, beginning at 1 p.m. and Saturday, April 8, beginning at 9 a.m. in the John Tate Challenge Cup at Dutch Clark Stadium in Pueblo.

Grizzly baseball had also run into weather issues and rescheduled their games against County Line to Monday, April 3. Also the Grizzlies matchup against Eads has been moved to Saturday, April 22, beginning at 10 a.m. at Eads. The Grizzlies hosted Holly in a varsity-JV doubleheader on Tuesday, April 4. A JV doubleheader is scheduled against Crowley County on Thursday, April 6, at 4 p.m. and a varsity doubleheader against Crowley County on Saturday, April 8, at 10 a.m..

The Grizzly Golf Team teed off their season with traveling to Swink and La Junta. The Team picked up a sixth place finish and third place finish. The Swink Tournament was cut back to only nine holes due to weather conditions.

• La Junta Tournament- Team Score 444 (sixth Place); Individuals- Jessica Dawson 100 (13th), Dacey Corsentino 110, Jacy Rogers 111, and Danielle Pruett 123.

• Swink Tournament- Team Score 235 (third Place); Individuals- Gabri Leone 46 (third), Isabella Proctor 52, Jamie Gates 67, and Shayna Ede 70.

The Grizzlies’ varsity returns to action on Thursday, April 6, at the Fowler Tournament and Monday, April 10, at the Pueblo West Tournament. The Grizzlies’ junior varsity also returns to action on Wednesday, April 5, at Rye.
