Grizzly golf in full swing

The Fowler Grizzly golf team competed in the Fowler Tournament last week. The tournament used the Stableford Scoring System rather than normal stroke play.

The Stableford Scoring System involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. Unlike traditional scoring methods, where the aim is to have the lowest score, under Stableford rules, the objective is to have the highest score. During the tournament, the Grizzlies placed second as a team with a score of 65. Individually, Gabri Leone placed third with a score of 30 and Jessica Dawson placed fifth with a score of 25.

Other Grizzly golfers’ scores include Tatyana Bradshaw, 13; Jacy Rogers, 12; Isabella Proctor, 11; Dacey Corsentino, 10; Shayna Ede, 6; Danielle Pruett, 5; and Jamie Gates, 4. The Grizzlies will compete next at the Florence Tournament on Monday, April 17, beginning at 9 a.m.
