Although summer isn't officially here, students are on summer break, and that means the Fowler Swimming Pool will soon be opening (hopefully by Saturday, June 3).

Although summer isn’t officially here, students are on summer break, and that means the Fowler Swimming Pool will soon be opening (hopefully by Saturday, June 3).

It will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday. There must be at least 20 people there by 2 p.m. for the pool to remain open each day. Night swim is 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. There must be 15 people there by 7 p.m. for it to remain open each night during night swim.

If the pool closes due to weather before 3 p.m., a one-day pass will be provided. If the pool closes after 3 p.m., there will be no refunds.

The pool fees are as follows:

Ages 2 and under - free Ages 3-18 - $2.50 Adults - $3

Swim passes are available and are good for 24 visits. The passes are $50 for ages 3 to 18 and $60 for adults. A family pass is $85. It is good for 10 visits for up to one adult and up to four children or two adults and up to three children.

Swim lessons will also be starting soon and will be $25 per session. Lap swim is from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $3 per visit or $7.50 per week.

Pool rental is also available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The cost is $100 per three-hour session, 100 patrons or less; $150 per three-hour session, more than 100 patrons.
