The town of Fowler is currently under stage one water conservation schedule.

Watering periods vary depending on above ground or underground systems and vary between residential and commercial properties (see chart).

However, no lawn irrigation or other outside use is allowed between noon and 2 p.m. Only gardens and flowers may be watered at this time.

Due to recent moisture, watering restrictions aren’t as strict as they have been during drier years. But, the town reminds people conservation is best.

Even with the extended hours, the town receives complaints that some residents insist on watering outside their watering hours. If you are not sure when you can irrigate, please come by town hall and the town clerk will provide a schedule and explain when you can water. Please water only during the hours scheduled for your address. Using water outside these hours reduces the water pressure and volume for those who have a right to water during that time.

Additionally, it is the property owner’s responsibility to keep yards and alleys clean. Weeds should be cut throughout the summer.
