Jeremy Casias, 24, is being sought by Rocky Ford police in conjunction with a stabbing Sunday afternoon.

Casias is the lone suspect in the weekend stabbing which left George Martinez, no age given, in stable condition at a Pueblo hospital.

The event occurred Aug. 20 with a 911 call at 6:49 to report a stabbing at the Tank ‘N Tummy on Elm Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Martinez in the parking lot with two stab wounds to the chest.

Martinez was transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta prior to being airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Pueblo.

A warrant has been issued for Casias for attempted murder in the first degree.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous. Casias may be armed with a knife and might be in possession of a gun.

He is described as standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. Casias has black hair and brown eyes and has a facial tattoo on his right cheek.

His last known address was Plaza Nueva, 702 Sandia Drive, #49 or he may be staying at apartments at 508 Walnut Ave.

If Casias is spotted, Rocky Ford police are urging the public not attempt to capture him but to report his whereabouts to the police at 254-3344.
