The La Junta High School boys' golf team finished second and Fowler High School was third at the Trinidad Invitational Tuesday at Trinidad-Las Animas County Municipal Golf Course.

The Tigers were led by Cody Schrock, who finished in second place with a one-over-par 73. Jay Paolucci was 12th with an 89, Chance Oquist was 16th with a 91 and Noah Sedillo was 25th with a 95.

Derrick Sharp led the Grizzlies as he placed fifth with an 83. Hunter Mason shot an 89 to tie for 10th, David Gage recorded a 93 to tie for 20th and Christian Mullarkey had a 96 to tie for 28th.

Rocky Ford also competed at Trinidad and finished in seventh place. Levi Collins led the Meloneers as he shot an 89 to tie for 10th. Ethan Jacob fired in a 93 to tie for 20th, Seth Havens recorded a 95 to tie for 25th and Christian Valdez shot a 98 to tie for 32nd.

Trinidad's Lance Peters was the individual medalist with an even-par 72.

Lamar won the team championship with 240, followed by La Junta with 253, Fowler with 265, Trinidad with 270 and Pueblo West with 271.

All three schools will be at the Pueblo County Invitational at Hollydot Golf Course on Friday.
