The Fowler Grizzlies Volleyball team upped their record to 5-1 with wins against the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans and Colorado Springs School Kodiaks.

The Fowler Grizzlies Volleyball team upped their record to 5-1 with wins against the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans and Colorado Springs School Kodiaks.

On Tuesday night, the Grizzlies beat the Spartans 3-2 on our home court. Throughout the match, the Grizzlies struggled to find their rhythm, dropping sets two and three to the Spartans. Set scores for the match were 25-13, 23-25, 21-25, 25-8, and 15-9. The Grizzlies were again led by seniors Elizabeth Hagerman with nine kills, five blocks and 27 digs and Lexi VanSickle with 11 assists, 16 digs and eight aces.

Thursday night, the Grizzlies dominated the Kodiaks (3-0), not giving them a chance to come up for air. Set scores include 25-13, 25-23, and 25-6. This game was led by sophomore Avery Bouldin with 20 digs, junior Tressa Reed with 10 blocks and senior Elizabeth Hagerman with 10 blocks.

This week the Grizzlies hosted John Mall on Tuesday night and will travel to Swink tonight for a 4 p.m. matchup against their rivals, the Swink Lions.
