Last Friday night, the Fowler Grizzlies traveled on over to Wiley to face off against the Panthers. With Wiley being 33rd in the state and Fowler being ranked ninth, it is not much of a surprise that the Grizzlies came out on top.

In the first quarter, sophomore Luke Bitter started off the game for the Grizzlies with a long touchdown pass to Zane Denton. Not long after, Quinton Flanscha got a long touchdown run to extend the Grizzlies lead to 12-0.

Next quarter, senior Brand Sharp continued to rack up points for the Grizzlies as he made a long touchdown run into the end zone, making the score 18-0 to end the first half.

Going into the second half, Sharp made another touchdown with Flanscha coming right behind him to make the two-point conversion. Flanscha kept the scores coming and he made another touchdown for the Grizzlies, being followed by another two-point conversion by Denton. Finally, the Panthers made their first and final touchdown but it was too little, too late.

In the final quarter of the game, Sharp made his third touchdown of the game, making the final score 39-8. The Panthers' final attempt to score was put to a screeching halt when freshman Gabriel Proctor recovered a fumble by the Panthers.
