The Fowler Grizzlies volleyball team evened out their week with one win and one loss.

Tuesday night, the Grizzlies went up against the John Mall Panthers in Fowler and won 3-0. The games were neck and neck almost the whole time, a struggle for the win but the Grizzlies eventually came out on top of things. Set scores for the game were 27-25, 25-18, and 25-16. The Grizzlies were led by senior Elizabeth Hagerman with seven kills and 14 digs, junior Tressa Reed with seven kills, sophomore Avery Bouldin with 11 digs, senior Lexi VanSickle with eight assists and junior Isabella Proctor with 17 assists.

Thursday night, the Grizzlies suffered their second loss of the 2017 season against their rival school, the Swink Lions. The Lions won 0-3 with set scores being 18-25, 21-25, and 23-25. The Grizzlies will be playing the Swink Lions again on Oct. 19 for the Fowler Homecoming match.

This week, the Fowler Grizzlies will be playing against the Hoehne Farmers on Tuesday and the Rocky Ford Meloneers on Thursday.
