The application process has started for the Elks National Foundation 2018 Most Valuable Student contest. The Elks National Foundation is an independent, non-profit corporation established in 1928 and its mission is to help Elks build stronger communities.
The Elks annually award more than $3.6 million in scholarships nationwide. The deadline for the ENF Most Valuable Student Contest is Nov. 27, 2017. Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply for a Most Valuable Student scholarship. Applications must be submitted online on or before Nov. 27, 2017. The selection of winners begins at the local Lodge level and continues through district, state and national judging. Local entries of The ENF Most Valuable Student Contest will also be used to determine recipients of four $500 scholarships awarded by the La Junta Elks Lodge.
