The Colorado High School Activities Association released the state softball tournament brackets for all three divisions Monday on the website.

Both La Junta and Rocky Ford high schools will be participating in the Class 3A Tournament this coming weekend at the Aurora Sports Complex.

La Junta is the sixth seed and it will play 11th-seeded St. Mary's. Rocky is the 10th seed and it will take on seventh-seeded Meeker. Both games will take place Friday at 12:15 p.m.

Should the Lady Tigers win, they will play the winner of the game between third-seeded Strasburg and 14th-seeded Delta. A win by the Lady Meloneers will have them playing either second-seeded Eaton and 15th-seeded Valley. The second round games will take place Friday at 2:30 p.m.

La Junta and Rocky Ford are on the same side of the bracket and they would play each other in the semifinals on Saturday morning, should both teams win their first two games.

The other side of the bracket has Brush, the top seed, against Fort Lupton, the No. 16 seed, eighth-seeded Weld Central will play ninth-seeded University, fourth-seeded Lamar will play 13th-seeded Sterling, and fifth-seeded Faith Christian will play 12th-seeded Limon.

The state championship game is on Saturday afternoon.
