Officers and Troopers from multiple agencies will join together on the Friday and Saturday before Halloween with one purpose in mind: get impaired drivers off the streets.

"Drunk and impaired driving continues to be a scourge on the safety of our community," said Major Tim Keeton, area commander of CSP District 3. "People deserve to travel safely and these officers are out there making sure that is a reality for everyone. Make no mistake: if you drive drunk, we will find you."

Law enforcement officers will have an additional presence across Otero County during the two-day operation. Drivers are encouraged to make arrangements for designated drivers or other solutions before they begin to consume, in order to avoid the potentially deadly consequences of driving under the influence.
