The Colorado High School Activities Association released it weekly polls for fall sports on Monday. All of the polls were posted on the CHSAANow.com website.

Football

There was little change on the Class 2A football poll as La Junta High School remained in the No. 4 position. Two other Tri-Peaks League schools, The Classical Academy and Salida, stayed at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively.

Kent Denver remained at the top of the rankings, followed by Bayfield, Platte Valley, La Junta, The Classical Academy, Sterling, Faith Christian, Basalt, Salida and Aspen.

Listed as "others receiving votes" are Eaton, Bishop Machebeuf, Pagosa Springs and Alamosa.

In Class 1A, Crowley County rose from seventh to sixth.

Bennett remains at the top of the rankings, followed by Meeker, Centauri, Strasburg, Limon, Crowley County, Paonia, Burlington, Peyton and Clear Creek.

In the "others receiving votes" category are Platte Canyon, Monte Vista, Colorado Springs Christian, Hotchkiss and Wray.

Fowler remained in the No. 7 position in the eight-man poll. Another Southern League team, Hoehne, dropped from third to fourth. Holly represents the Southeast League and it rose from sixth to fifth.

Sedgick County is ranked first, followed by West Grand, Merino, Hoehne, Holly, Gilpin County, Fowler, Mancos, Haxtun, Sargent.

Mentioned as "others receiving votes" are Dayspring Christian, Caliche, Hayden, Akron, Soroco and Rocky Mountain Lutheran.

There was no poll for six-man football as it completed its season last week.

Volleyball

Swink stayed in the sixth position in the Class 2A volleyball poll, while Hoehne remained at No. 4.

Yuma is still the top-ranked team, followed by Dayspring Christian, Lyons, Hoehne, Union Colony, Swink, Simla, Denver Christian, Haxtun and Wiggins.

Fowler is mentioned as "others receiving votes" as are Dolores, Ignacio, Paonia, Meeker and Rangely,

McClave moved from sixth to fourth in the Class 1A poll. Another High Plains League team, Kit Carson, is still No. 1. Wiley and Holly represent the Arkansas Valley League in the fifth and seventh positions, respectively, and La Veta represents the Fisher's Peak League in the third position.

Following Kit Carson are Fleming, La Veta, McClave, Wiley, Otis, Holly, Briggsdale, Flagler/Hi-Plains and Belleview Christian.

Eads was in "others receiving votes" along with Weldon Valley, Prairie, Arickaree and Dove Creek.

Lamar is the only Tri-Peaks League team in the Class 3A poll, and it dropped from eighth to ninth.

Eaton is ranked first, followed by University, Faith Christian, Centauri, Lutheran, Resurrection Christian, Middle Park, Valley, Lamar and Coal Ridge.

Buena Vista and Vanguard are listed as "others receiving votes" as are Bishop Machebeuf, Bennett, Sterling, Bayfield and Colorado Academy.
