The Grizzlies played their Homecoming football game last Thursday against the Swink Lions. The rivalry between these two teams has been ongoing for many years, and it is evident in how they act toward each other. However, this game was all Grizzlies from the start.

To start off the game, the Grizzlies came in with their first touchdown, scored by Homecoming king Brand Sharp. Not too long after that, sophomore Luke Bitter recovered a fumble and ran in for another touchdown, with Brand Sharp following with the two point conversion. Luke then came right back and scored another touchdown after that one with a failure to gain the two points. Junior Quinton Flanscha soon came in with a 70-yard touchdown for Fowler. To end the first quarter with a score of 34-0, Flanscha made one last touchdown, running from the Grizzlies' 20 yard line into the end zone, with Bitter coming right along with the two points.

In the second quarter, Quinton Flanscha made the last touchdown of the half, still leaving the Lions with a nonexistent score and the Grizzlies with a 40-point lead.

As they entered the second half, the Grizzlies wasted no time making another touchdown with a 52 yard pass to Junior Zane Denton. The Lions eventually made their first touchdown near the end of the third quarter, finally putting some points on the board.

In the final quarter of the game, the Lions made their second touchdown of the game. The Grizzlies failed to make anymore touchdowns for the remainder of the clock, making the final score 46-12. This is Fowler’s seventh straight win over the Swink Lions and was the final game of the 2017 regular football season.
