The Colorado High School Activities Association announced its 2017 cross country All-State teams on Tuesday. The teams were posted on the website.

The Rocky Ford High School boys had one All-State runner in senior Cody Danley, who was named to the first team in Class 2A. Danley finished fourth in the Class 2A boys state meet on Oct. 27 in Colorado Springs in 16:43.1.

Danley led the Meloneers to a third place finish behind state champion Lyons and state runner-up Heritage Christian Academy.

For the Lady Meloneers, freshman Ashlyn Alvey was named honorable mention All-State on the Class 2A girls' team. Alvey finished in 23rd place in 21:49.9 and she led Rocky to a seventh place finish.
