The Bueno HEP High School Equivalency (HSE) program, located on the Otero Junior College campus, is currently accepting enrollment for spring classes. Classes are scheduled to begin on Jan 15.

The Bueno HEP High School Equivalency (HSE) program, located on the Otero Junior College campus, is currently accepting enrollment for spring classes. Classes are scheduled to begin on Jan 15.

According to Marion Morris, Bueno HEP HSE coordinator and instructor, anyone who is interested in completing the High School Equivalency program should register as soon as possible. “Although, we have a policy of open enrollment, you can complete the HSE requirements sooner if you begin now,” Morris explained.

The High School Equivalency courses are scheduled for Jan 15 through May 17, 2018. Classes are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tutoring will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

BUENO-HEP qualifications include having someone in the family who have worked 75 days during the past two years in an agricultural related position. This includes any phase of farming, with the exception of working at the roadside stands. Also included in the qualification could be anyone raising and caring for livestock up to, but not including, butchering or packaging.
