PUEBLO — The three local high school girls' golf teams were at the Pueblo East Invitational which took place Thursday at Walking Stick Golf Course.
Swink finished the highest among local teams as the Lady Lions were 11th with 347. Jolene Carrica also finished the highest among local individuals as she tied for ninth with a 98. Lexie Summers tied for 48th with a 123 and Baylie Krueger tied for 56th with a 126.
Fowler was 12th with 355 and the Lady Grizzlies were led by Tatyana Bradshaw, who tied for 29th with a 113. Shayne Ede tied for 40th with a 119 and Zoey Unrein tied for 48th with a 123.
La Junta entered only two competitors and the Lady Tigers did not record a team score. Dawn Luttrell tied for 22nd with a 107 and Addison Aragon tied for 36th with a 117.
Pueblo West won the team title with 291, followed by Pueblo South with 294, Florence with 302, Salida with 304, and Pueblo County with 307.
Zoey Rodriguez of Pueblo South was the individual medalist with an 83.
Swink is scheduled to compete at the Salida Invitational today. Both La Junta and Fowler will be at Florence on Monday. For the Lady Tigers, it will be the second of three Tri-Peaks League tournaments.
