The Fowler Public Library has had an amazing six weeks of our Summer Reading Program. Our end of the program held at Gerard Park was a great success.
Megan Casey of Rocky Mountain Puppets did a great job showing how music, reading and libraries can really ‘rock’! After a hot dog picnic, prizes were awarded to those children who over the six week period had read ten hours or more. Those children winning were: Jordan Blythe: an I pod touch, Matilda Kauble: a Kindle Fire, Koby Lieber: $25 gift card to Target, Bentley Nevland: $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble, Tyler Shultz: a Nook Tablet other prize winners were awarded $10 gift cards and Fowler Pool passes.
Our thanks to the First National Bank of Fowler and the Town of Fowler for their generous donations to help make our Summer Reading Program a success. Thanks also to the host of wonderful volunteers both young and young at heart who provided snacks, hands on help, donated supplies, helped organize the end of the program picnic, and to the parents who brought their kids we say thank you!
Also I’d like to take the time to introduce myself, my name is Kris Gonzalez and I will be taking Stephanie Delaney’s place as Library Director. Stephanie has done an outstanding job and will truly be missed by our community.
