COLORADO CITY — Fowler High School's Andrew Egan was the medalist at the Santa Fe League Tournament, which took place Thursday at Hollydot Golf Course.

Egan shot a one-under-par 71.

The rest of the Grizzlies saw Harvey Osburn place 13th with a 113, Steven Hildreth 14th with a 122 and Aaron Hildreth 16th with a 131.

Rocky Ford also competed and it was led by Levi Collins, who tied for third with a 91. Josh Johnson tied for fifth with a 96, Martin Fernandez tied for 11th with a 109 and Demetrius Tenorio was 15th with a 128.

Swallows Charter Academy won the team championship with 285. Rye was second with 292, Rocky Ford was third with 296 and Fowler was fourth with 305.

Fowler will next play at the Pueblo County Invitational on Aug. 31. Fowler, Rocky Ford and La Junta will be at the Lamar Invitational on Sept. 4.

Martinez, Roman top La Junta JV tournament

La Junta High School hosted a 9-hole junior varsity tournament Thursday at the La Junta Municipal Golf Course.

Two Tigers were at the top of the individual standings as Jacob Martinez won with a 41 and Donavon Roman was second with a 43.

Jacob Reeder finished fourth with a 49, Nathaniel Begay tied for fifth with a 51, and Cooper Jones, Keegan Russell and Wilson Martinez all tied for eighth with a 52.

La Junta won the tournament with 133. Lamar was second with 150 and Pueblo County was third with 156.
