The Fowler Public Library has many surprises in store for all those eager to read throughout the summer. The dates and times are as follows: Mondays and Thursdays, beginning June 2nd and ending July 31st from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. In this hour volunteers will read a book(s) to each of three groups. The groups will be broken down accordingly: preschool (ages 3-5) will be our Lady Bug group, K – 2nd grade will be our Bees and 3rd thru 5th grade will be our Ants. We will have “surprise” drawings within this hour as well as a “treat” to enjoy. We will have “take home” activities and a variety of books to interest everyone. There are no requirements or obligations, just have fun reading.
Our theme this year is “Catch the Reading Bug,” so we are also going to have a display board for bugs and insects that our readers can bring in and identify, on display until July 31st. Don’t forget to be looking for that perfect glass jar for your very own “ant farm.”
We want to “Thank” all our community businesses for supporting reading with their gift certificates/coupons. Without your continued support, our small community just would not be “the village that it takes to raise quality children.” Thank you so much!
Pat Lowe, President, Library Board
