Fowler Police Department action for the last week of August and the first week of September 2009.

Aug. 27:

Chief Borrego cited a 17-year-old female for 50/35 in the 500 block of Santa Fe.

Cpl. Lindholm cited Delbert Smith (44) of Lakewood in the 500 block of E. Cranston for disregarding traffic control devise (stop sign).

Cpl. Lindholm cited Daniel Muth (52) of Aurora for 46/35 at 4th and Cranston.

Chief Borrego cited Lou Wilroy (44) of Aurora for 49/35 in the 500 block of E. Cranston.

 

Aug 29:

Officer Gomez cited Kenneth Mays (79) of Olney Springs for careless driving at Main & Cranston after an auto accident.

Officer Perry cited Russell Hennger (65) of Canon City for u-turn violation in the 200 block of 2nd street.

 

Aug 28:

Captain Hobby cited Lance Ricoro (48) of Pueblo for u-turn violation in the 200 block of 2nd street.

Officer Gomez cited Holli Hagerman (33) of Fowler for failing to use child restraint at Fowler Elementary school.

Officer Gomez cited Elizabeth Teves (67) of Camp Hill, PA for 44/35 at 3rd and Cranston.

 

Sept. 4:

Officer Kizer cited Loojean Cahill (26) of Colo. Springs for 49/35 in the 300 block of E. Cranston.

Officer Perry cited Ryon Sallee (37) of Fowler for 36/25 in the 300 block of Main St.

Officer Perry cited Larry Hernandez (53) of Fowler 36/25 and compulsory insurance in the 300 block of Main St.

 

Sept. 5:

Officer Perry cited Beau Harris (30) of Fowler for disregarding a traffic control device (Stop Sign) at 6th Street and Swink Ave.

Cpl. Lindholm cited Otis Dittemors (53) of Spottswood, VA for 43/35 in the 400 block of E. Cranston.

Cpl. Lindholm cited Richard McGrath (79) of Lamar 44/35 at 4th and Cranston.

Officer Perry cited Felix Gonzales (41) of Fowler for motorcycle operator had no eye protection, at 6th and Swink.

Cpl. Lindholm cited Christina O’Toole (65) for following to closely at 3rd and Cranston

 

Sept. 7:

Cpl. Lindholm cited Babe Inman (54) of Lexington, KY for passing in the turn lane in front of Loaf & Jug

Cpl. Lindholm cited Courtney Murphy (18) of Larkspur for 43/35 in the 400 block of E. Cranston

Cpl. Lindholm cited Robert Finley (31) of Pueblo for 43/35 in the 400 block of E. Cranston

Chief Borrego cited Jeffery Smith (63) of Pueblo West for 46/35 in the 400 block of E. Cranston

Chief Borrego cited Fransisco Lozano (47) of Fowler for cruelty to animals and compulsory insurance. Mr. Lozano had tied his dog in the back of his pick-up. The dog jumped out and ran alongside the vehicle for approximately one-half mile until the dog gave up. Mr. Lozano then drug the dog for approx 300 feet next to vehicle before Chief Borrego could catch up to the vehicle and get it stopped. The dog, a black lab, was still alive.

Aug 12:

Officer Kizer arrested David Vigil (47) of Rocky Ford for speed contest/DUI in the 300 block of Santa Fe.

Officer Kizer arrested Robert Mason (37) of Lamar for speeding 45/35, DUI, and felony criminal impersonation at 3rd and Cranston.

Aug. 20:

Officer Kizer arrested Juan Padilla-Jasso (36) of Manzanola for Signal Lamps Failed to meet Requirements and DUI

Aug. 24:

Officer Kizer arrested Pamela Thompson (48) of Rocky Ford for Careless Driving and DUI at 6th and Cranston

Aug 28:

Officer Perry arrested John Gradoville (62) of Pueblo for possessing an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle in the 200 block of W. Cranston. Gradoville was released

Aug 28:

Cpl. Lindholm arrested a 15-year-old female driver from the Pueblo area after the officer attempted to pull over the vehicle for speeding 46/35 mph zone. The juvenile struck a vehicle in the 200 block of W. Cranston. The juvenile was charged with driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Cpl. Lindholm also revoked her driver’s license because the vehicle was uninsured. The vehicle was impounded.

The vehicle owner, Genell Faxa, also of Pueblo was cited for allowing an unlicensed juvenile to operate the vehicle and possession of less the one ounce of marijuana.

Aug 29:

Officer Perry arrested James Watts (55) of Fowler for driving motor vehicle with drivers license under restraint (canceled) in the 300 block of Main Street. Watts was released.

Aug. 29:

Officer Perry arrested Robert Jellum (45) of Littleton for speeding 41/35 and driving a motor vehicle with drivers license under restraint (canceled/denied) at 2nd and Cranston. Jellum was released.

Aug. 29:

Cpl. Lindholm arrested Brandon Lehman (31) of Ft. Collins for Displayed Fictitious plates and failure to notify DMV of change in address within 30 days

Aug. 31:

Officer Kizer arrested a 29-year-old male for speeding 33/25 and DUI

Sept. 5:

Officer Perry Arrested Brenda Spriggs (54) of Fowler for speeding 31/25 and DUI at Main and Pitkin

Sept. 5:

Cpl. Lindholm Arrested Nancy Gonzales (21) of Rocky Ford on a warrant in the 100 block of E. Santa Fe for Failure to Appear.

Sept. 6:

Officer Kizer arrested David Garcia (20) of Rocky Ford for Illegal Possession/Consumption of Ethyl Alcohol by an underage person.

 

Message from the Chief:

Fowler has seen an increase in Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol cases. In the week between August 24 and September 1, 2009 there have been six DUI cases filed, four of which are not included in this article. Chief Borrego and the Fowler police officers want to remind everyone OVER THE LIMIT UNDER ARREST.
