All students participating in the summer reading program “Catch the Reading Bug” must turn in their reading log book on Monday, July 28th by 6:00 p.m..

Thursday, July 31st will be the last day of our “Catch the Reading Bug” summer reading program and we will celebrate with a watermelon feast.   We will have our awards for “top” reader in each age group, along with very nice prizes for the 2nd and 3rd placing.  Perfect attendance awards as well. All participants that turn in their reading log book will receive numerous prizes too.  Our local businesses have supported our children by donating hundreds of awards/prizes and we again “Thank you”.

Don’t stop reading just because the summer program is over!  We have new children’s books being processed and there are DVD and VHS movies for kids and adults.  Stop by and check us out.  Adults don’t forget to sign up as a “Friend of the Library” and if you have any books, DVD/VHS movies (G or PG13 only) or computers that you would like to donate, we sure could make good use of them. We also need input for purchasing new books at all levels.       Submitted by Pat Lowe, Board President

Library hours:  Monday:  1 – 7
