The 7th Annual Crop for the Cure..Stampin’ Out Breast Cancer will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Fowler Christian Church.
Shari Fox, Annette Lundy and Debby Rogge, organizers of the event originally started this in July of 2004, to honor their friend Cindy Klinkerman.
Cindy attended the first annual Crop for the Cure, which was held in July of 2004. Sadly she lost her battle to breast cancer in January 2005.
“This is just one way to remember Cindy and all those that have lost their battle to breast cancer or are still fighting the disease,” said Rogge.
The fee for scrapbooking or stampin’ space is $35, which includes a goodie bag, lunch, and door prizes.
There will be a balloon release at 2 p.m. Balloons can be purchased In memory of or In honor of loved ones for $2 each.
A silent auction will be held throughout the day.
“We want people to stop by and bid on the merchandise we will have, the money we raise goes to a great cause.” Rogge said.
A few of the donated silent auction items include Scentsy Candles, painted saw blades, Celebrating Home Merchandise, Lia Sophia Jewelry, an autographed cowboy hat and ball cap from the Professional Bull Riders.

All proceeds go to Koman for the Cure and Grow for Life foundations.
