For the third year in a row, English classes at Fowler High School are embarking on an ambitious project which will bring history to life for one entertaining evening. Students in Michele Clemmensen's and Lacey McCuistion's classrooms have been working diligently to create a museum presentation, open to the public, depicting life during the “Roaring '20's.”

On Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Fowler Junior High gym a wide variety of interesting and unique exhibits will be available for viewing, as well as a short program presented by the students. According to Clemmensen, “There will be a video about the 1920’s produced by the Fowler High School Advanced Computer Applications Class. The high school choir will be performing a selection of music from the era and students have created a 1920’s inspired newspaper, as well as authored short stories set in the 1920’s. These kids have conducted extensive research to produce displays in an effort to recreate this era of historical significance for the public.”

Subjects covered during the evening presentation will include life in the Arkansas Valley, Women's Suffrage, World War I recovery, automobiles, fashion, sports, music, Prohibition, the Ku Klux Klan, Mafia and crime, NASCAR and the discovery of King Tut's tomb. Students have spent weeks researching, studying and preparing information that promises to take attendees back in time to an exciting and formative era in America.
