Irene (Ewing) Lewis

Irene (Ewing) Lewis passed away Nov. 28, 2009 at Life Care Center of Yuma, Ariz. She was 88 years old.
Irene was born in 1921 in Rutledge, Mo to Jason and Leta Ewing, she was one of six children. Wendall, Jim, Delbert, Ann Largent and Ardith Barnard.
The family moved to Colorado. Irene graduated in the class of 1938 from Fowler High School.
She married Robert Lewis in June of 1941. They made Fowler their home and owned and operated two businesses, R. D. Lewis Banana Truck Line and Bob TIre Sales and Service. After retiring in 1978, they moved to Yuma, Ariz, spending summers in Oregon and winters in Yuma and traveling.
She is survived by two sisters, Ann Largent of Salem, Ore., Ardith Barnard of Denison, Kan and good friend Barbara Dunsmoor of Fowler.
Her husband Bob preceded her in death in December 2001.
