Dorothy May Lamb

Dorothy May Lamb, 89, lifelong Colorado resident, was born in Salida, Colo., on June 23, 1920, passed away on Feb. 10, 2010, at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Lamb. She is survived by brothers, Jack (Zola) Lamb, Lakewood, Colo., Bob, (Toby) Lamb, Longmont, Colo.; sisters, Evelyn Fellhauer, Fowler, Colo., Helen Medill, Durango, Colo., and Betty (Jack) Harbert, Pueblo, Colo. She was also “Aunt Dorothy” to many, many nieces and nephews and was a babysitter for many of them throughout her life. She spent her last few years at the Fowler Health Care Center in Fowler, Colo., and leaves behind many friends among the staff and residents there. She was the unofficial historian for the Lamb family and enjoyed taking and collecting family pictures to share with her friends and relatives and filled many albums with pictures and mementos. She was also a collector of small stuffed animals and her walker and room at the health care center were both well decorated with them. She was a busy artist and gave freely of her work to friends and family. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
