Mrs. Evelyn Bertha House, 67, of Rocky Ford died on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 while in the company of family members at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, CO.
Evelyn was born in Olney Springs, Co. on February 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Orville Lee and Ruth Leona (Lane) Martin.
She attended Olney Springs High School.
She was married to William "Bill" Gossett. They were married on Dec. 1, 1962 north of Ordway.
She retired as a CNA and had also worked for CDS in Manzanola and was a babysitter in Ordway for many years.
She was a member of Nazarene Church in Fowler, CO.
She is survived by Bill Gossett of Rocky Ford; Son Kenny husband of Eva Tyler of Rocky Ford, CO; Son Bill husband of Sandra Gossett of LaJunta, CO; Son Dennis husband of Brenda Gossett of LaJunta, CO; Son Douglas husband of Rhonda Gossett of Swink, CO; Brother Jimmy husband of Kathy Martin of Canon City, CO; Brother Charlie Martin of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Maxine, Kimberly, Doug Jr., Gabby, Katie, Leah, Katie, Jasmine, Drew, Shawnee, Dennis Jr. and Ashley. 7 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Opal Page and a brother: Jackie Martin
Funeral Services will be at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home, Rocky Ford, at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 26th, with Pastor Frank Turja officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Ford-Ustick Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fowler Cemetery in Fowler, CO.
