Dorothy Sullivan, 87, of Olney Springs passed away on June 1, 2007 in Seattle, Wash., where she had been staying with her grandson, Shawn Sullivan. A graveside inurnment will be held at Fowler Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008, with Rev. Jean McPherson, pastor of the Olney Springs United Methodist Church officiating. She will be interred beside her son, George Sullivan. Dorothy was born on May 22, 1921 in Crested Butte, Colo. She had lived in Olney Springs most of her life. She was married to Joseph Glen Sullivan and they raised two sons, Robert Lee Sullivan and George William Sullivan, both of whom have preceded her in death. She enjoyed fishing and traveling. She had made her home in Seattle with her grandson, Shawn for the last four years. Survivors include Shawn Sullivan, Denise Hyatt, Tiger and Jesse Sullivan, Virgie Clark, the Darrell McDonald family; grandchildren, Faith, Blossom and Austin Hyatt. Local arrangements are by Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler.
