Sterling D. Clark, DVM, 86, passed away April 21, 2008 at his home in Fowler.

Mr. Clark was born in Fowler on October 7, 1921 to Garry Ernest Clark and Alice Doertenbach. He married Shirley Josephine Zobel on February 5, 1944. To this marriage they had 3 children, Sharlene, Sidney and Stanley.

Dr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents, son, Stanley G. Clark on May 9, 1965 and his sister Lorraine Sigler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley J. Clark of the family home, daughter, Sharlene (Marvin) Pekny of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, Sidney W. Clark of Ft. Collins, Colo., two grandchildren; Justin (Melisia) Pekny of Glenwood, Iowa and Darren Pekny of Omaha, Neb., and two great-grandsons, Reese and Cole. He is also survived by one brother, one sister, ten nephews and one niece.

The family will receive their friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008 and a viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday April 26, 2008 from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Josephson officiating. Burial will be held at the Fowler Cemetery.

The family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in Dr. Clark’s name to the Colorado Veterinarian Memorial Association Foundation through the funeral home.
