Victoria "Vicky" Romero

Victoria "Vicky" Romero, of Fowler, died at her home March 23 following a long illness. Mrs. Romero was born on Jan. 20, 1943 in Ordway, the daughter of Reyes and Mary Amador Minjarez. She was married to Lawrence Romero March 27, 1965 in Crowley County.
She is survived by her husband and children, Kenneth Herrell of Fowler, Jackie Avelos, Lawrence (Julene) Romero and Harold (Kari) Romero all of Pueblo. Five grandchildren, Crissy, Brittany, Alyssa, Olivia and Allison. Sisters Mae Valdez of Rocky Ford and Jennie (Marcello) Alcon of Pueblo and brother Juan (Debbie) Minjarez of Pueblo West also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance was held Saturday, March 27 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway with Deacon Dan Leetch officiating. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler.
